<br />1.7.24 Manage the health, safety and environmental activities of its staff and the staff of its I <br />subcontractors to achieve compliance with applicable health and safety laws and regulations and <br />will coordinate its health, safety and environmental program with the responsibilities for health, <br />safety and environmental compliance specified in the contract for construction. The Engineer <br />will coordinate with responsible parties to correct conditions that do not meet applicable federal, <br />state and local occupational safety and health laws and regulations, when such conditions expos~ . <br />the City or the Engineer or its subcontractors, to unsafe conditions and will notify affected <br />personnel of any site conditions observed by the Engineer that may pose imminent danger. <br /> <br />I. 7.25 Receive, log, and notify the City regarding all letters and notices from the Contractor <br />concerning claims or disputes between the Contractor and City pertaining to the acceptability of <br />the work or the interpretation of the requirements of the contract for construction. The Engineer <br />will review all such letters and notices and will discuss them with the Contractor as necessary to <br />understand each such claim or dispute and will advise the City regarding the Contractor's <br />compliance with the contract requirements for such claims and disputes. The Engineer will assist <br />the City in discussions with the Contractor to resolve claims and disputes, but will not issue <br />written decisions on Contractor claims or disputes. <br /> <br />1.7.26 Assist the City in requiring the submission by the Contractor, and subcontractors <br />performing work on the Project site, of periodic wage rate payment reports and, assist the City in <br />verifying compliance with federal and state wage rate requirements for the Project; and notice <br />the City of any noncompliance, or of the failure by the Contractor or subcontractor's to make <br />submissions that the Engineer is or becomes aware of. <br /> <br />1.7.27 Conduct final inspection with the City and prepare up to two separate punch list of items <br />requiring completion or correction prior to final acceptance by the City. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1.7.28 Assist the City in issuing documents for final completion and acceptance of the work and <br />will advise the City on final payment, release of retention, and release of insurance and bonds in <br />accordance with Subsection 1.7.23. <br /> <br />1.7.29 Coordinate with the Contractor for the submission of required manuals provided by <br />equipment suppliers for operation and maintenance and for training of the Owner's staff by the <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />1.7.30 Coordinate with the Contractor for the submission of required warranties, guarantees, lien <br />releases and other similar documents as required by the construction contract and advise the City <br />as to the acceptability and compliance of these documents with the construction contract. <br /> <br />1.7.31 Provide to the City an organized set of Project documents and records. <br /> <br />1.7.32 Revise the original design drawings to reflect available record information provided by <br />the Contractor and equipment suppliers and prepare or cause to be prepared, and submit to the <br />City one reproducible set and three hard copies of record drawings showing significant changes <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Davis Lane Wastewater Improvements Project - CH2M Hill <br />
