b)

I

Power Supply Analvses. Evaluate both primary and secondary (backup) power
supply requirements for the pumping stations and prepare a preliminary electrical
one-line diagram. In addition, the Engineer will review proposed Texas
Commission on Environmental Quality ("TCEQ") Chapter 217, Design Criteria
for Sewerage Systems, in regard to lift station requirements. Major power changes
will be addressed by the Engineer as Additional Services;

c) Pump Selection and Configuration. Size and select pumps from information
developed in the hydraulic review; and

d) Operation and Control. Review operation and control functions, features,
parameters, and equipment for station including Programmable Logic Controllers
("PLCs"), SCADA, communications, pump start/stop sequencing, etc. Prepare
preliminary piping and instrumentation drawings ("P&IDs"), control narratives,
and lists of required features, functions, and equipment.

1.3.3 Surveying - provide a route survey of approximately 8,500 linear feet from Manhole
139-07 to the existing lift station on River Road to include:

a)
b)

Contact Digg- Tess utility locating service to have underground utilities marked;
Establish Project control for topographic, boundary, and future construction
layout surveys.
Locate all above ground planimetric features, including, but not limited to edges
of asphalt, back of curb, culverts (flowlines of culverts and sizes), existing sewer
lines (flowlines of manholes), driveways, evidence of underground utilities,
fences, trees (10" diameter or greater) and other pertinent features affecting
design.
Data reduction and preparation of triangulation network for contouring.
Autocad drawing preparation.
Topographic survey, 40 feet wide, centered on the existing sewer line from 139-
07 manhole to manhole 164-01 .
Topographic survey from the north edge of asphalt of 1-35 access road to the
north right-of-way line ofI-35 from manhole 164-01 to manhole 164-09.
Topographic survey 40 feet wide, centered on the existing sewer line from
manhole 164-09 to manhole 189-08.
Topographic survey from right-of-way to right-of-way for Davis Lane from
manhole 189-08 to River Road.
Topographic survey from fence to fence along River Road for River Road from
Davis Lane to the existing lift station approximately 1000 feet north.

I

c)

d)
e)
f)

g)

h)

h)

i)

1.3.4 Provide the following deliverables for this Task:

a) Two TMs as referenced in 1.3.1 and 1.3.2, including review of the
proposed TCEQ Chapter 217 requirements;
b) Digital map of the entire Project area including contour data;
c) Ascii point of file of all points in the Project;
Davis Lane Wastewater Improvements Project - CH2M Hill

4

I
