<br /> Page 3 <br />materials collected under the contract, and not to deposit the <br />material at a landfill site. <br />2.1 COB'.rRAC-r AREA The CORTRACTOR shall collect all residential <br />recyclable materials from residential dwelling units currently <br />billed by the City of San Marcos for solid waste collection. <br />2.2 lIA'rERIALS 'J.'o BE COLLEC".rED The COBTRACTOR shall collect the <br />following recyclable materials: <br /> 1. aluminum beverage cans <br /> 2. ferrous cans <br /> 3. clear glass <br /> 4. colored glass <br /> 5. newsprint <br /> 6. polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and high density <br /> 7. polyethylene plastics (HDPE) <br /> All recyclable materials collected shall become the sole <br />property of the CORTRAC'J.'OR. <br /> The CONTRACTOR shall not be required to collect materials not <br />placed in approved receptacles and/or materials not specified for <br />recycling. <br />2.3 SERVICE The COlft'RAcmR shall furnish collection service, <br /> <br />as specified, herein, once a week to each residential dwelling <br />unit in the contract area, using collection equipment approved by <br />the CIn. Days of service for customers shall not be changed <br />without the express written approval of the CITY upon request, in <br />writing, by the CONTRACTOR. In the event such a request is <br />granted, the CONTRACTOR shall, at its expense, ensure that the <br />change in service is carried out smoothly through proper advance <br />customer notification. This notification shall be made in writing <br />to each customer, and by means of local news media. Notification <br />
