<br /> PART 1 - EFFLUE~T LIMITATIONS <br /> A. During the period of , 19 to I <br /> 19 , the permittee is authorized to discharge process <br /> wastewater to the City of San Marcos sewer system. <br /> B. During the period of I 19 to , <br /> 19 ,the discharge shall not exceed the following effluent <br /> limitations. (Values are expressed in mg/l). <br /> Cyanide 0.74 <br /> Arsenic 1.15 <br /> Cadmium 3.55 <br /> Chromium 11.29 <br /> Copper 11.17 <br /> Lead 0.65 <br /> Mercury 0.01 <br /> ¡Hekel 11. 6 <br /> Silver 0.306 <br /> Zinc 14.2 <br /> NOTE: Dilution of these elements in solution or suspension <br /> in lieu of treatment or removal is specifically prohibited. <br /> The Director may further restrict the discharges of those <br /> wastes which contain these elements to a definite limit <br /> expressed in the units of "pounds per day" to prevent the <br /> employment of dilution of such pollutants in order to meet <br /> the concentration limits of the ordinance. <br /> C. The permittee shall not discharge wastewater containing any <br /> of the following substances. <br /> - Gasoline, benzene, naphtha, fuel oil or other flammable <br /> or explosive liquids, solids or gases; <br /> - Effluent having a temperature higher than 140 degrees F (60 <br /> degrees C); <br /> - Any pollutant, including oxygen demanding pollutants (BOD, <br /> e t c .) at flow rate and/or concentration which will cause <br /> the pollutant to pass through to the receiving waters or <br /> interfere with the City of San Marcos wastewater collection <br /> or treatment facilities. <br /> PART 2 - REPORTING REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Accidental Discharge <br /> In the case of an accidental discharge, i t is the <br /> responsibility of the user to immediately telephone and <br /> notify the Control Authority of the incident. The <br /> notification shall include location of the discharge, type of <br /> waste, concentration and volume, and corrective action. <br /> 22 <br />
