<br />ARCHITECT for additional services are remote and will necessarily <br />pertain only to substantial deviations from the scope of services <br />described in this Agreement or in the ARCHITECT's proposal for <br />architectural services to the CITY. <br />Additional services shall be provided only if authorized or <br />confirmed in writing by the CITY, and compensation shall be in addition <br />to that specified for basic services, in accordance with Section 13.2.1 <br />of this Agreement. Additional services shall include Resident Project <br />Representation beyond that provided as a part of Basic Services. <br />AR~ICLE 2 <br />THE CITY'S REsPORSIBILITIES <br />2.1 The CITY shall provide full information regarding <br />requirements for the Project. Such information will include the CITY's <br />design objectives, constraints and criteria, including space <br />requirements and relationships, flexibility and expandability, special <br />equipment and systems and site requirements. <br />2.2 The CITY shall provide a budget for the Project which shall <br />include contingencies for bidding, changes in the work during <br />construction, and other costs which are the responsibility of the CITY, <br />including those described in this Article 2 and in Subparagraph 3.1.2. <br />The ARCHITECT shall accept the CITY's authorization to bid the Project <br />as evidence that arrangements exist for fulfillment of the financial <br />obligations assumed by the CITY hereunder. <br />2.3 The CITY shall designate a representative authorized to act <br />in the CITY's behalf with respect to the Project. The CITY and/or such <br />authorized representative shall examine the documents submitted by the <br />ARCHITECT and shall render responses pertaining thereto promptly and <br />provide ARCHITECT with requested data or information in the CITY's <br />possession relating to the Project. <br />2.4 The CITY shall provide access to and make all necessary <br />provisions for the ARCHITECT to enter upon public and private property <br />as required for the ARCHITECT to perform its services under this <br />Agreement. <br />2.5 The CITY shall furnish geotechnical, structural, mechanical, <br />chemical, soils and other laboratory tests, inspections and reports as <br />required by law or the construction contract documents or as reasonably <br />needed by the ARCHITECT.
