<br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes
<br /> of the Special Meeting held September 5, 1983. Ms. Kissler moved
<br /> to approve the minutes and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, which
<br /> passed unanimously.
<br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes
<br /> of the Special Meeting held September 6, 1983. Mr. Guerra moved to
<br /> approve the minutes and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll
<br /> call the following vote was recorded (Mr. Brown was present for the
<br /> voting on this agenda item):
<br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Guerra, Craddock, Kissler, Moore.
<br /> NAY: None.
<br /> ABSTAIN: Kreczmer.
<br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of three appoint-
<br /> ments to the Urban Renewal Commission. Mayor Craddock moved to nominate
<br /> Pete Islas for reappointment, Betty Rodriguez for reappointment and
<br /> Alice Hurtado (new appointment), and Mr. Farr seconded the motion,
<br /> which passed unanimously.
<br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of 4 appointments
<br /> to the Parks and Recreation Board to fill vacancies. Mr. Farr moved
<br /> to place in nomination the names of Merry FitzPatrick, Mamie Hughes,
<br /> Roland Villanueva, Gilbert Gomez and Joe DeLeon, and Mayor Craddock
<br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. On roll call the fol-
<br /> lowing vote was recorded:
<br /> BRmm: FitzPatrick, Hughes, Villanueva, DeLeon.
<br /> FARR: FitzPatrick, Villanueva, Gomez, DeLeon.
<br /> GUERRA: DeLeon, Gomez, Villanueva, FitzPatrick.
<br /> CRADDOCK: FitzPatrick, Hughes, Villanueva, Gomez.
<br /> KISSLER: FitzPatrick, Hughes, Gomez, DeLeon.
<br /> KRECZMER: FitzPatrick, Hughe s, Villanueva, DeLeon.
<br /> MOORE: FitzPatrick Villanueva, Gomez, DeLeon.
<br /> Merry FitzPatrick received 7 votes, Mamie Hughes received 4 votes, Ro-
<br /> land Villanueva received 6 votes, Gilbert Gomez received 5 votes and
<br /> Joe DeLeon received 6 votes. The new members who will complete the
<br /> vacancy terms are Merry FitzPatrick, Roland Villanueva, Joe DeLeon
<br /> and Gilbert Gomez (all four terms expire in January, 1984).
<br /> Mayor Craddock introduced (taken out of order) for consideration the
<br /> adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows:
<br /> A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, RELATING TO THE APPROVAL OF THE ISSU-
<br /> ANCE OF CERTAIN REFUNDING AND NEW MONEY BONDS BY THE
<br /> CENTRAL TEXAS HIGHER EDUCATION AUTHORITY, INC.;; APPROV-
<br /> ING THE ISSUANCE OF SUCH BONDS AND MAKING CERTAIN FIND-
<br /> INGS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH.
<br /> Mr. Guerra moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Farr se-
<br /> conded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Farr was not present
<br /> during the voting on this Resolution).
<br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration a public hearing and approv-
<br /> al of a Zoning Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read
<br /> as follows:
