<br /> This summary shall be submitted to the FAA monthly and will <br /> indicate when and to what extent penalties are imposed. The <br /> penalties assessed will be itemized in the following pay request <br /> to the FAA. <br /> 3.5 PHASE 4 - RESIDENT CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION <br /> 3.5.1 Resident or full-time on-site inspection shall be <br /> performed by the CONSULTANT, or an approved sub-consultant. The <br /> resident inspector shall perform daily resident inspection, <br /> maintain daily inspection log book, write weekly inspection <br /> reports, coordinate all construction activities with the OWNER, <br /> coordinate and inspect all materials and soils testing, coordinate <br /> and review all test reports submitted by the testing laboratory, <br /> maintain records and trip tickets on all materials, review <br /> periodic contractor payment requests, accompany all surveying <br /> proofs of contractor established staking. Additional work will be <br /> accomplished as required by OWNER. <br /> ARTICLE 4 <br /> ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br /> 4.1 GENERAL <br /> 4.1.1 The professional services set forth hereinafter as <br /> Additional Services are not included as part of the services to be <br /> provided by the CONSULTANT under Article 3. In the event that <br /> consulting services beyond that specified under Article 3 are <br /> necessary or desirable, such Work will be performed as Additional <br /> Services. Fees for such Work will be in addition to the basic <br /> compensation for the PROJECT scope described in Article 3. <br /> 4.1.2 The CONSULTANT will furnish Additional Services only <br /> when authorized, in writing, by the OWNER. <br /> 4.2 ADDITIONAL SERVICES, GROUP 1 <br /> Additional Services are as follows: <br /> 4.2.1 Design or special consulting services that are not <br /> included in basic services. <br /> 4.2.2 Complete revision of contract drawings and <br /> specifications which have previously been approved by the OWNER <br /> and FAA. Revisions to correct design deficiencies or minor <br /> modifications will be accomplished under Basic Services, Phase 2. <br /> 4.3 ADDITIONAL SERVICES, GROUP 2. <br /> Additional services are as follows: <br /> 4.3.1 No less than 30 days and no more than 45 days before <br /> the expiration of the guarantee period established by the <br /> -9- <br />
