5.3 PAYMENT FOR ADDITIONAL SERVICES 5.3.1 If the OWNER elects to have the CONSULTANT furnish additional services, as set forth in Article 4.2, the fees for such services shall be calculated on the basis of Direct Salary, as defined herein: Principal - $llO.OOjHour Design Engineer - $ 68.00/Hour Engineer - $ 51.00/Hour Engineering Tech. - $ 38.00/Hour Draftsman - $ 30.00/Hour Administrative Assistant - $ 20.00jHour The above-listed costs include all salary costs, overhead, and profit. CONSULTANT will prepare an estimate of fees prior to undertaking additional services, and OWNER's written approval will be obtained prior to initiating the WORK. CONSULTANT shall bill OWNER for additional services on a monthly basis. Payments shall be due to CONSULTANT within thirty (30) days from presentation of statement. 5.3.2 Reimbursable expenses, as defined in Paragraph 1. 3, will be billed at a multiplier of 1.10 to recover administrative expenses. 5.4. PAYMENTS TO CONSULTANT 5.4.1 Statements for services rendered by the CONSULTANT that have not been paid within Ninety (90) days after becoming due shall thereafter accrue interest at the rate of 12% per annum. ARTICLE 6 SERVICES BY THE OWNER In general, the OWNER will render services as follows: 6.1.1 Provide available criteria and full information as to the OWNER's requirements for the PROJECT. 6.1.2 Assist the CONSULTANT by placing at his disposal, all available written data pertinent to plan operations, previous reports, process experimental data, and any other data affecting the design and/or construction of the PROJECT. 6.1.3 Furnish the CONSULTANT all necessary reports on the results of laboratory tests, inspections of samples, materials testing, mill tests, and other testing services performed for quality control purposes by an independent testing laboratory. 6.1.4 Furnish the CONSULTANT all necessary field survey which are required to collect design data, such as horizontal and -11-
