Mr. Farr moved to appoint Sue Braden and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimous- lYe Mr. Brown introduced for consideration approval of the Council's appointments to the Blue Ribbon Committee for the Bond Program. In prior meetings and workshops the Council determined each Council Member would appoint five members to the Committee and the Chairmen of the Planning and Zoning Commissions would be ex-officio members to the Blue Ribbon CoIDÆittee. On roll call the following were appointed to the Blue Ribbon Committee: BROWN: Reverend Alphonso Washington Mr. Joe B. Cox, Jr. Mrs. Patty Sullivan Mr. Berry James FARR: Mr. Ruben Ruiz Mrs. Frances Emery Mr. Richard Cruz Mr. Bill Howle Mrs. Lee Hudman Mr. Guerra provided his appointments to the City Secretary prior to the meeting, and the City Secretary read Mr. Guerra's appointments into the record as follows: GUERRA: Mrs. Anita Reyes Mrs. Soila Rodriguez Mrs. Shirley Wickersham Mr. Joe Lesak Mr. Augustin Lucio KISSLER: Dr. Ken Long Mrs. Ofelia Vasquez Mrs. Melissa Millecam KRECZMER: Dr. James Godwin Mr. W. B. pryatel Mr. Dan Farlow As discussed by the Council in prior meetings and workshops, they want- ed Chairman of the Planning Commission, Billy Moore, and Chairman of the Zoning Commission, Bill Nicola, to serve as ex-officio members to the Blue Ribbon Committee. Mr. Brown then moved all the above appoint- ments be approved as Members of the Blue Ribbon Committee and that Messrs. Bill Nicola and Billy Moore serve as ex-officio members and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The City Secretary was directed to place this item of business on the next scheduled Council Meeting for the appointment of the reæainder of the Committee (October 31, 1983, 5:00 p.m.). Mr. Brown opened a public hearing to consider approval of a Zoning Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 31.5 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OF LAND AREA IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 2 IN SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A PORTION OF THAT 45.1 ACRE TRACT OF LAND DESCRIBED IN A DEED FROM THEO SCHAWE, ET UX, TO LEWIS DOBIE, ET UX, DATED DECEM- BER 15, 1953, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 158, PAGE 80 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED IN THE 1100 BLOCK OF UHLAND ROAD, FROM "AO" (AGRICULTURAL-OPEN SPACE DISTRICT) TO "MH" (MOBILE HOME DISTRICT).
