Concrete shall be Class C in accordance with Specification <br /> 4, Concrete Work - General. <br /> b. Subgrade preparation shall be in accordance with <br /> Specification 2, Earthwork, and Specification 3, Excavation for <br /> Structures. <br /> c. Reinforcing steel shall be in accordance with the <br /> Specification 4, Concrete Work - General. <br /> d. RCP (reinforced concrete pipe) as designated on the <br /> drawings shall be reinforced concrete p1pe ASTM Designation C 76 <br /> Class III (Class B bedding) in accordance with the pertinent <br /> requirements of Item 464 of the Texas SDHPT Standard <br /> Specifications. <br /> e. Jointing materials shall be in accordance with the <br /> requirements of paragraph 464.2 ( 13) of Item 464 of the Texas SDHPT <br /> Standard Specifications. Jointing material shall be approved by <br /> Engineer, and approved kind shall be used throughout the project. <br /> f. Galvanized steel gratinq shall be shop fabricated from 2" <br /> by 1/4" steel bar confo~ing to ASTM Designation A36. Steel bars <br /> shall be spaced at 1 3/8" on center by means of a round 3/16" dia <br /> bar notched to steel bars and welded. The entire assembly shall <br /> be capable of supporting a minimum of 100 lbs./square foot. <br /> Grating shall be . hot dipped galvanized after fabrication. <br /> Galvanized steel grating shall be as manufactured by McNichols Co. <br /> Bar Gratinq GHB-200 or approved equal. <br /> g. Sand for sand bed £il ter shall be 18" thick of .0.02-0.04 <br /> inch diameter washed sand. <br /> h. Gravel for sand bed filter shall be 12" thick of 1/2" to <br /> 2" diameter washed pit run gravel. <br /> i. Sand and gravel shall be separated by a Enkadrain 9210, <br /> or Miradrain 600 geotextile fabric or approved equal. <br /> 14-2 <br />
