Reinforced Concrete Pipe: <br /> (1) The pipe shall be installed in general conformance <br /> with the pertinent requirements of paragraph 464.3 of Item 464 of <br /> the Texas SDHPT. Class B bedding will be required throughout. <br /> When rock is encountered, bedding modi f ied for rock foundation <br /> shall apply (shown on Figure 4 of the above cited paragraph). <br /> d. Plastic pipe (perforated and tight) and fittings shall be <br /> installed in accordance with the requirements of Item 481 of the <br /> Texas SDHPT Standard Specifications paragraph 481.3. Perforated <br /> pipe shall be installed level on sand filter bed. Tight line shall <br /> slope a minimum of 1/4" per foot, unless otherwise allowed by <br /> Engineer. <br /> 14-06 CLEANUP: <br /> a. After the various concrete placements have been cured in <br /> an acceptable manner as required by Item 420, Paragraph 420.21 of <br /> the Texas SDHPT Standard Specifications, the forms shall be <br /> carefully removed. All form material, chunks, loose concrete shall <br /> be raked up and removed from the site. All honeycomb shall be <br /> repaired per the requirements of Specification 4, Concrete Work- <br /> General. All backfill shall be per the requirements of <br /> Specification 3, and the det4ilsshown on the drawings. <br /> b. All abraded areas shall be finiahgraded and restored as <br /> soon as practicable with the permanent erosion control (measured <br /> and paid for under Specification 19). The exposed top portion of <br /> sand filters shall not be grassed, but shall be compacted and raked <br /> to a smooth finished appearance. <br /> 14-07 KEASURBJŒN'f AND P AYKENT: <br /> a. RIO VISTA ANNEX FILTRATION/DETEN'fIOH SYSTEX shall be <br /> installed as provided above. No separate payment shall be made <br /> for structural excavation, subgrade preparation, reinforced <br /> concrete pipe, drop inlet, splitter box, outlet concrete headwalls, <br /> sand filter complete, perforated pvc pipe, "tight line" pvc pipe, <br /> pipe connections and fittings, pipe splices (where allowed), <br /> devices required to attach pipes to structures, all as required to <br /> 14-4 <br />
