The Contractor is hereby advised that the OWner is only <br /> able to provide legal access to the west abutment of the Pedestrian <br /> Bridge over Purgatory Creek, (shown on Sheet 12 of the drawings) <br /> through the Union Pacific Railroad Right-of-way with a temporary <br /> work easement. The Contractor shall exercise due care to use <br /> easement for access of equipment, vehicles, and delivery of <br /> materials only. The Contractor is not allowed to park vehicles, <br /> equipment, or store materials in said work easement. <br /> 16-06 MEASUREKENT AND PAYMENT: <br /> a. PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE OVER PURGATORY CREEK will be measured <br /> for payment as a complete unit as shown on the drawings. No <br /> separate measurement shall be made for excavation, forming, <br /> dewatering, reinforced concrete abutments, structural steel, wood <br /> decking, fasteners, but all such items shall be considered <br /> subsidiary work pertaining to the item bid. <br /> b. PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE OVER SAN MARCOS RIVER will be measured <br /> for payment as a complete unit as shown on the drawings. No <br /> separate measurement shall be made for excavation, forming, <br /> dewatering, reinforced concrete abutments, structural steel, wood <br /> decking, fasteners, but all such items shall be considered <br /> subsidiary work pertaining to the item bid. <br /> c. Drilled Shaft foundation work shall be measured for <br /> payment under Specification 7. <br /> d. PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE OVER PURGA'l'ORY CREEK acceptably <br /> completed and measured as provided above will be paid for at the <br /> contract unit price bid for PEDESTRIAN BRIDe! OVER PURGATORY CREEK, <br /> which price will be full compensation for furnishing all materials, <br /> and for all equipment, tools, labor and incidentals necessary to <br /> complete the work. <br /> e. PEDESTRIAH BRIDGE OVER SAN MARCOS RIVER acceptably <br /> completed and measured as provided above will be paid for at the <br /> contract unit price bid for PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE OVER SAN MARCOS <br /> RIVER, which price will be full compensation for furnishing all <br /> materials, and for all equipment, tools, labor and incidentals <br /> necessary to complete the work. <br /> 16-4 <br />
