<br /> 2'"" <br /> L~ <br /> RAMON LUCIO, RIO VISTA, RIO VISTA ANNEX, AND BICENTENNIAL <br /> PARKS RECREATION DEVELOPMENT <br /> TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 19 <br /> EROSION CONTROL <br /> square feet, seeds shall have a purity of 95% with a germination <br /> of 85%. Seeding shall be hydromulched with a natural cellulose <br /> fiber mulch. <br /> b. Topsoil shall be the topsoil previously stripped and <br /> stockpiled from all construction areas. Topsoil shall be spread <br /> uniformly at least 4" deep throughout all areas to be seeded. The <br /> topsoil shall be cultivated sufficiently to reduce the material to <br /> a state of good tilth. <br /> c. Fertilizer shall conform to the requirements of Item 166 <br /> of the Texas SDHPT Standard Specifications. Fertilizer shall be <br /> pelleted or granulated with a 16-20-0 analysis. <br /> d. Hydromulch media shall be Conweb (wood cellulose fiber) <br /> or approved equal. <br /> 19-05 CONSTRUCTION METHODS (TEMPORARY EROS ION CONTROL): <br /> a. Sil t fence shall be placed and constructed as shown in the <br /> drawings and in such a manner that runoff form a disturbed or <br /> exposed upland area shall be intercepted, sediment trapped and the <br /> surface runoff allowed to percolate through the structure. The <br /> steel posts shall be installed on a slight angle toward the <br /> anticipated runoff source. The toe of the silt fence shall be <br /> trenched in a miniDtwa of 60; Witñ a spade or mechanical trencher, <br /> so that the downslope face of the trench is flat and perpendicular <br /> to the line of flow. The width of the trench shall be 6 inches <br /> wide to allow for the silt fence to be laid in the ground and <br /> backfilled. <br /> b. Rock berms shall be placed as shown in the drawings unless <br /> otherwise determined by the Engineer. The bottom shall be embedded <br /> into the soil a miniDtwa of 4". <br /> c. The silt fences and rock berms shall be inspected after <br /> each rain, and repaired or replaced as required by Engineer, when <br /> the structures cea.e to function as intended due to silt <br /> accumulation, washouts, construction traffic damage, vandalism, <br /> etc. <br /> d. The accumulated silt from the rock berm shall be removed <br /> and properly disposed of when the depth reaches 1/3 of the height <br /> 19-3 <br />
