The accumulated <br /> silt from the silt fence shall be removed and properly disposed of <br /> when the depth reaches 6". Proper disposal shall be off site at a <br /> sanitary landfill or other site approved by the Engineer. <br /> 19-06 CONSTRUCTION METHODS (PERMANENT EROSION CONTROL): <br /> a. After the areas to be seeded have been completed to the <br /> finish lines, grades, and cross sections shown on the drawings. <br /> The seeding shall be performed in accordance with the requirements <br /> of paragraphs 164.3 and 164.6 of Item 164 of the Texas SDHPT <br /> Standard Specifications. Fertilizer shall be applied at the rate <br /> 300 Ibs. per acre (6.88 Ibs. per 1000 square feet). Mulch shall <br /> be applied at the rate of 2100 Ibs. per acre. <br /> 19-07 CLEANUP: <br /> a. The temporary erosion control shall not be removed until <br /> the permanent erosion control is established. Permanent erosion <br /> control shall be considered as established when grass has grown to <br /> at least 1" height with 85' coverage AND there are no individual <br /> areas larger than 10 square feet which do not meet the <br /> requirements. Contractor shall be responsible for watering to <br /> establish uniform growth. Contractor shall be required to reseed <br /> all areas not meeting these,requirements. <br /> b. The Contractor shall remove all of the accumulated silt <br /> from the temporary eros ion control structures and to properly <br /> dispose of all materials. <br /> 19-08 MBASUREJŒN'l' AIm PAYXENT: <br /> a. TEHPORARY BROSION CONTROL (SILT FENCB) shall be measured <br /> for payment by the lineal foot where approved or required by the <br /> Engineer. No separate measurement shall be made for excavation, <br /> preparation, steel fence posts, filter fabric, woven wire support, <br /> periodic maintenance, removal and disposal of silt, repairs and <br /> replacement, and final disposal of structure, but will be <br /> considered subsidiary work pertaining to the item bid. <br /> b. TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL (ROCl( BERM) shall be measured <br /> for payment by the lineal foot where approved or required by the <br /> Engineer. <br /> 19-4 <br />
