All work under this specification is subject to the <br /> applicable Items of the Texas State Department of Highways and <br /> Public Transportation "Standard Specifications for Construction of <br /> Highways, Streets, and Bridges," 1982. <br /> 4-02 SCOPE: <br /> a. This specification shall consist of constructing the <br /> Portland Cement concrete items listed below with reinforcing steel, <br /> subgrade preparation, structural excavation, and finish to the <br /> lines, grades and details as shown on the drawings and/or as <br /> directed by the Engineer. <br /> (1) restroom buildings <br /> (2) group shelter slab <br /> (3) curb and gutter <br /> (4) valley gutter <br /> (5) sidewalks <br /> (6) low water crossing <br /> (7) pedestrian bridges <br /> (8) picnic table slabs <br /> (9) miscellaneous post footings <br /> (10) filtration/detention splitter box <br /> (11) filtration/detention catch basin <br /> (12) other miscellaneous concrete <br /> b. Pedestrian Bridges' Drilled Shafts shall be as shown on <br /> the drawings and specified in Specification 7, Drilled Shaft. <br /> 4-03 MATERIALS I <br /> a. All concrete (except for miscellaneous footings) shall be <br /> class C (3600 psi min. compressive 28-day strength, minimum 6.0 <br /> sack cement per cu))J:c yard, maximum water cement ratio of 6. 0) and <br /> shall conform to the pertinent requirements of Item 421 of the <br /> Texas SDHPT Standard Specifications. <br /> 4-1 <br />
