<br /> 99 <br /> RAMON LUCIO, RIO VISTA, RIO VISTA ANNEX, AND BICENTENNIAL <br /> PARKS RECREATION DEVELOPMENT <br /> TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 4 <br /> CONCRETE WORK - GENERAL <br /> b. Concrete for miscellaneous post footings shall be class B <br /> (2000 psi minimum compressive 28-day strength, minimum 4.0 sack <br /> cement per cubic) and shall conform to the pertinent requirements <br /> of Item 421 of the Texas SDHPT Standard Specifications. <br /> c. All reinforcing steel shall conform to one of the following <br /> specifications: <br /> Deformed Billet-Steel Bars Grade 60 A.S.T.X. Designation A <br /> 615. <br /> Rail Steel Deformed Bars Grade 60 A.S.T.X Designation A 616. <br /> Axle-Steel Deformed Bars Grade 60 A.S.T.X. Designation A 611. <br /> and shall conform to the pertinent requirements of Item 440 of the <br /> Texas SDHPT Standard Specifications. . <br /> d. Expansion Joint Material shall be of the preformed fiber <br /> material meeting the requirements of Item 420 Paragraph 420.2 of <br /> the Texas SDHPT Standard Specifications. <br /> 4-04 CONSTRUCTION: <br /> a. All concrete structures (building foundations and slabs, <br /> low water crossing, slabs, walks, curb , gutters, pedestrian <br /> bridge, storm sewer appurtenances, etc. shall conform to all the <br /> pertinent requirements of Item 420 of the Texas SDHPT Standard <br /> Specifications. <br /> b. For all post footings, the post shall be rigidly held in <br /> the correct position while concrete is placed and is allowed to <br /> cure. <br /> 4-05 GROtrl'S: <br /> a. por General Purposes: <br /> ( 1) Grout used for general purposes shall be mixture of <br /> one part of Portland Cement and 2 1/2 parts of sand. Where the <br /> place to be grouted is less than one (1) inch thick, and due to <br /> inaccessibility, it is impossible to tamp grout, a more fluid <br /> consistency is required and a 1:1 mix shall be used. In grouting <br /> work, where the space to be filled with grout is large, the <br /> concrete mixture at time of placing shall be one which produces the <br /> 4-2 <br />
