<br /> 138 <br /> RAMON LUCIO, RIO VISTA, RIO VISTA ANNEX, AND BICENTENNIAL <br /> PARKS RECREATION DEVELOPMENT <br /> TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 9 <br /> ELECTRICAL WORK - GENERAL <br /> Surface-mour..ted enclosure shall have hinged doors and catches. <br /> Neutral connections shall be solid throughout. Safety switches <br /> shall conform to the applicable requirements of Underwriters' <br /> Laboratories, Inc., Standard for Service Equipment. <br /> 9-10 PANELBOARDS: <br /> a. Panelboards shall be of the dead-front safety type and <br /> shall be suitable for operation on 120/240 volt, single-phase, 4 <br /> wire grounded solid neutral system. Unless otherwise indicated on <br /> the drawings, panelboards shall be provided with lugs only in the <br /> mains. Panelboards shall be provided with the size and number of <br /> single or double-pole branches as indicated on the drawings. <br /> Panelboards (for Distribution and Power Panels only) shall be fused <br /> type conforming to the requirement of Federal Specification W-P-llS <br /> with 2 pole hinged door combined switch and fuse units. Circuit <br /> breakers shall conform to the requirements of Federal Specification <br /> W-C-73S. Single-pole breakers shall be Class "A" and 2 pole <br /> breakers shall be Class "C". All breakers shall be of the <br /> quick-make, quick-break type and shall have automatic trip <br /> indication. <br /> 9-11 CABINETS: <br /> a. Cabinet boxes shall be constructed of zinc-coated sheet <br /> steel and shall conform to the .cequirements of Underwriters' <br /> Laboratories, Inc., Standard for Cabinets and Boxes. Trims and <br /> doors shall have a suitable pr~r coat and a finish of a color <br /> specifically designated by the Engineer. <br /> 9-12 FUSES: <br /> a. The Contractor shall furnish a complete set of fuses for <br /> all switches and panels. Fuses of 30 ampere capacity or less shall <br /> be of the non-renewable cartridge type conforming to the <br /> requirements of Federal Specification W-F-791. Fuses in excess of <br /> 30 ampere capacity shall be of the renewable cartridge type with <br /> links not separately enclosed and shall conform to the requirements <br /> of Federal Specification W-F-791. All fuses shall be 250 volt <br /> class. <br /> 9-8 <br />
