General: This section includes, but is not limited to, <br /> cast-in-place concrete, and other related items necessary to <br /> complete project as indicated by the documents unless specifically <br /> excluded. <br /> b. Standards: Comply unless otherwise specified herein with <br /> Specification 4 of these specifications. Concrete shall be Class <br /> C. <br /> c. Finishes: <br /> (1) Finish of flooring - have broom finish to a light <br /> gritty surface. <br /> (2) Finish of exposed grade beams - smooth rubbed finish. <br /> 11-05 CONCRETE BLOCKWORK (CONCRETE MASONRY UNITS): <br /> a. General: This section includes, but is not limi ted to <br /> Concrete Blockwork, and other related items necessary to complete <br /> project as indicated by the documents unless specifically excluded. <br /> b. Materials: <br /> (1) Reinforcement: Horizontal joint reinforcement shall <br /> be equal to OUr-a-Wal, Standard Truss-Type~ Hohmann and Barnard, <br /> Standard Truss-Mesh; Bet-R-Wal, Standard Truss Design. Provide <br /> prefabricated corners and partition intersections. Cross rods to <br /> be galvanized in external walls. Lintel reinforcement shall be <br /> reinforcing steel as shown. Wall ties for brick facing will be <br /> provided at least 24" O.c. horizontally on 16" O.c. vertically. <br /> (2) Concrete Masonry Units: All lightweight concrete <br /> masonry units to conform to AS'l'M C-90-64 Grade U-l. All units <br /> shall be two cell type modular 8"x8"x16" or 4"x8"x16". All units <br /> shall be high pressure steam cured in autoclaves at 140 to 150 psi <br /> pressure to 355 to 365 degrees F., for a minimum of five hours. <br /> Linear shrinkage shall not exceed .035\ British modified method of <br /> 11-4 <br />
