Cleanouts shall consist of a concrete encased wye in the <br /> line with a pipe extending therefrom upward, terminating with a <br /> Zurn Z-1329-2 cast iron cleanout encased in a 12" concrete cube at <br /> grade. Cleanout top to be flush with finish grade. <br /> (2) Water Service: Contractor shall make connections to <br /> potable water system as shown on the drawings, and installed by <br /> other parts of this contract. <br /> (3) Interior Sanitary System: <br /> (a) Install a complete sanitary waste and vent <br /> system for all fixtures and equipment as shown on the drawings <br /> and/or hereinafter specified, and also the complete rough-in for <br /> all equipment items furnished and set by others. Sanitary waste and <br /> vent piping to fixtures shall be sized as shown on the drawings, <br /> and in case of location changes, shall be so arranged to give <br /> proper drainage and venting for each fixture. <br /> (b) Unless otherwise noted on the plans or <br /> hereinafter, all sanitary waste;, vent, and drain lines inside the <br /> building lines shall be service weight, asphaltum-coated bell and <br /> spigot cast iron sewer pipe and fittings. <br /> (c) All vents 3" dia. and larger shall be service <br /> weight asphal twa coated cast iron sewer pipe and fittin(jS.. All <br /> vents 2-1/~" and smaller shall be galvanized steel pipe assembled <br /> using galvanized screwed drainage fittings. Vents installed <br /> underground or under the floor slab shall be asphaltum-coated , <br /> serv ice weight cast iron sewer pipe and fittings. Where vents <br /> extend above the roof they shall terminate 12" above the roofline. <br /> (d) All trenching for waste lines shall be graded <br /> so that pipe rests on undisturbed soil where practicable. If piping <br /> is installed on fill, the fill shall be tamped to the density of <br /> the adjacent soil. Waste lines shall be graded 1/4" per foot where <br /> possible and shall be graded not less than that permitted by code <br /> in any case. Trench for cast iron sewer pipe shall have bell holes <br /> at each joint to allow the body of the pipe to rest on ground and <br /> to provide space for joint makeup. Where rock is present ditches <br /> shall be filled with 2" of sand prior to placement of piping. <br /> 11-19 <br />
