<br /> 9 <br /> PERFORMANCE MEASURE: The Project Coordinator will <br /> develop a display of agency brochures no later than <br /> December 1989. The resource guide will be developed <br /> and distributed by January 1990, A report on these <br /> activities and two copies of the guide will be included <br /> in our semi-annual evaluation report to the state <br /> Library. <br /> OBJECTIVE B-4: To provide a resume writing and <br /> evaluation service to users of the library's Job <br /> Information Center. <br /> PERFORMANCE MEASURE: The library will make available a <br /> computer, resume writing software, word processing <br /> software, sample resumes, and resume writing manuals <br /> for public use in the Job Information Center by <br /> December 1989. The Project Coordinator will provide <br /> instruction on how to use the computer and computer <br /> software on an appointment basis. He wi 11 also <br /> evaluate patrons' resumes upon request. The <br /> Coordinator will provide statistics on use of these <br /> services in his semi-annual report to the TSL, <br /> OBJECTIVE B-5: To provide at least six free seminars <br /> during the project year on how to use the public library <br /> as a resource for finding employment and developing job <br /> search skills. These seminars will be provided to the <br /> clients of vocational training programs in the area such <br /> as Employment Resources and Gary Job Corps as well as to <br /> the general public. <br /> PERFORMANCE MEASURE: The Project Coordinator will <br /> notify the state Library of the number of seminars <br /> given and the total attendance. <br /> GOAL £: To publicize services of the library's Lifelong <br /> Learning Project and Job Information Center to the English as <br /> a second language community through an effective bilingual <br /> publicity campaign, <br /> OBJECTIVE C-l: To make presentations about the library to <br /> at least ten organizations which work closely with those <br /> for whom English a second language during FY 1989-90. <br /> These organizations will include the Hispanic Chamber of <br /> Commerce, the American Gr Forum, the San Marcos <br /> Ministerial Association, the local LULAC Chapter, local <br /> Parent Teacher Organizations, the San Marcos <br /> Manufacturers' "Association, the San Marcos Minorities <br /> Commission, and other appropriate church and civic <br /> organizations. <br />
