These organizations
will include the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Hays
County Women's Center, Knights of Columbus, the San
Marcos Ministerial Association, LULAC, the American GI
Forum, local Parent-Teacher Organizations, the San
Marcos Manufacturers' Association, the San Marcos
Minorities Commission, and other appropriate church and
civic organizations,
B. We will design and distribute a bilingual (English-
Spanish) flier to advertise the Job Information Cent2r
and its ser'Jices. We will also continue to distribute
the bilingual social services directory and other
bilingual fliers produced with funds from our FY 1939
LSCA grant, Fliers will be distributed through
churches, stores, restaurants, community centers and
social service agencies which serve the Hispanic
community. Public service announcements about project
activities will be placed in OUI: two local newspapers
and on local radio and cable television stations.
C, We will design and distribute a bilingual job
information resource guide. The guide will be clearly
identified as a product of the library, and users ~JÌ 11
be encouraged to call or corne by the library for more
information, The guideoS will be distributed as above
and displayed prominently in the Job Information Center
along with the social services directory we produced in
FY 1989, In addition, OUt. tutors will provide the guides
and directories to their students,
D. The Project Coordinator will go door-to-door in Hispanic
neighborhoods in order to talk directly with members of
the ESL and Hispanic community about programs and
services offered by the library. At the same time, he
will distribute printed information about those programs
