period before zoning amendments may be considered again after the applicant has <br />withdrawn the same requested change or modified the boundary of the parcel of land <br />subject to the same requested change; providing a savings clause; providing for the <br />repeal of any conflicting provisions; and providing an effective date. <br />12.Consider approval of Ordinance 2013 -43, on the second of two readings, amending <br />Chapter 62, Article 3, Division 1 of the San Marcos City Code, by adding a new Section <br />62.187 to authorize the payment of assignment pay in the amount of $300 per month for <br />Fire Department personnel assigned by the Fire Chief as Support Services Officer or <br />Training Coordinator; providing a savings clause; providing for the repeal of any <br />conflicting provisions; and providing an effective date. <br />13.Consider approval of Resolution 2013 -117R, awarding an annual contract to Interstate <br />Elect for the provision of Pump and Motor Repair for the Water /Wastewater Utilities <br />Division of the Public Works Department in the estimated annual amount of <br />$100,000.00; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the appropriate <br />contract documents on behalf of the City; and declaring an effective date. <br />14.Consider approval of Resolution 2013 -118R, authorizing the City Manager or his <br />designee to submit an application with the United States Department of Homeland <br />Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (F.EMA) for a Staffing for Adequate <br />Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant in the amount of $256,182.00 for the <br />addition of two full -time firefighters; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to <br />accept the grant, if awarded, and execute all contracts and documents with the U.S. <br />DHS FEMA and other parties as necessary to implement the grant; and declaring an <br />effective date. <br />15.Consider approval of Resolution 2013 -119R, approving an agreement between the City <br />and Dewberry Architects, Inc., for the provision of Professional Architectural Services <br />in connection with a Facilities Master Plan for the San Marcos Public Library in an <br />amount not to exceed $98,940.00 contingent upon the architect's provision of sufficient <br />insurance in accordance with the attached agreement; authorizing the City Manager or <br />his designee to execute this agreement on behalf of the City; and declaring an effective <br />date. <br />16.Consider approval of Resolution 2013 -120R approving a Memorandum of Agreement <br />with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Texas State University -San Marcos (Center for <br />Archaeological Studies) and the State of Texas Historic Preservation Officer providing <br />for off -site mitigation of adverse effects of the Rio Vista Stormwater Project on an <br />archaeologically significant site; providing for such mitigation services to be performed <br />by Texas State University -San Marcos (Center for Archaeological Studies) over a three <br />year period at a cost not to exceed $274,129.00 subject to the terms of a previously <br />approved Interlocal Agreement with Texas State University -San Marcos for the <br />provision of archaeological services related to various City projects; and declaring an <br />effective date. <br />
